Skipperite of the Year Awards 2014

The “Skipperite of the Year” Awards Function is an initiative to felicitate outstanding performers across Skipper’s global subsidiaries who have made an exemplary contribution to Skipper and have demonstrated exceptional reliability, quality of work, initiative, and professionalism. Each winner was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by Mr. Rakesh Sardana, Acting Country Head, Skipper Nigeria Ltd. and GTA Engineering Ltd. And Ms. Poonam Sachdeva, Group Director Corporate, in two separate formal ceremonies at Skipper’s Regional Headquarters in Gurgaon, India on 7th May, 2014 and in Lagos, Nigeria on 10th May, 2014. Skipper’s Successful Debut at Hannover Messe 2014

Skipper successfully participated in the world’s largest and most well-known industrial fair, Hannover Messe, on 7-11 April this year at Hall 13, Stand D49.

This was the first time that Skipper joined as an exhibitor and showcased its products and services in this international arena. On the first day itself, Skipper received excellent response and inquiries from numerous visitors. Visitors were deeply impressed with Skipper’s global presence and its full range of best-in-class power products and services at competitive prices.

Skipper wins Skotch Award for India’s Best SME

Skipper Electricals (India) Ltd.  was awarded a certificate of merit for qualifying amongst India’s best SMEs – 2014 by The Skotch Group. The Skotch Order-of-Merit was received by Mr. R.S. Grover – Director (Railways), Skipper Electricals (India) Ltd. on 21st March, 2014 during a function held at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

Coveted for its independence and exceptional research, the Skoch Award is distinctive for its approach in selection of awardees and is known to follow the most rigorous process of selection. The top-scoring projects make it to the Skoch Order-of-Merit. A shortlist of awardees is drawn from the Order-of-Merit recipients who are invited to receive the Skoch Award in an exclusive awards function, which is presided over by a distinguished dignitary.

Skipper Participates in Middle East Electricity Exhibition 2014

Skipper Electricals participated in the Middle East Electricity Exhibition 2014 (Sheikh Saeed Halls, Stand S1H49) which took place from 11th to 13th February at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Skipper’s presence this year featured a grand stand displaying the Company’s prowess in world class power products including Skipper Distribution Transformer, 145 kV Mobile Substation and Metering Panels.

Skipper joins hands with LSEB for the Lagos State Power Kids Program

Skipper is proud to be associated with Lagos State Electricity Board for its much lauded, innovative first edition of the Lagos State Power Kids Program, an energy awareness program initiated by Lagos State Government (LASG) as part of the Power sector development plan to help improve energy efficiency and conservation practice amongst its citizens. With Lagos State having the most aggressive energy development plan in Nigeria, it is imperative that students be taught about energy awareness and conservation practices. The program is heavily supported by His Excellency, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, the Governor of Lagos State.

As a special award to the winning Power King and in order to motivate Lagos school children to adopt and promote the cause of Energy Conservation, Skipper organized an all-expenses paid trip to Delhi, India and Dubai, UAE for the Power King, his teacher and an LSEB staff member.
