Skipper Ghana participated in 12 General Assembly meeting of West Africa Power Pool (WAPP) from 30th Oct-3rd Nov., 2017. 14 countries DG, Procurement heads, director’s engineering and other key decision makers attended the meeting. Conference was a good opportunity to revamp the Skipper brand in the mind of all the Utilities of West African countries and to connect with many decision makers of West African Utilities of Energy sector and propose our Products and services (EPC) for solving the power outrage problem prevalent across the continent. Skipper Ghana was also awarded for its participation as a Major Sponsor for the event.
Skipper participated in the Future Energy Exhibition at Eko Hotel, Lagos, Nigeria between November 07-08, 2017 as platinum sponsors. Skipper Stall was inaugurated by HE Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, Governor of Gombe state. Many other dignitaries and Govt officials also visited the stall including HE Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, Governor of Jigawa State, HE BN Reddy, the Indian High Commissioner. Hon. Skipper participated as main sponsor in 6th Power Nigeria Exhibition at Landmark centre, Lagos, between September 5-7, 2017. It is an ideal platform for the entire Power market value chain, from key decision makers to solutions, equipment and services providers. Skipper was honored to have many dignitaries visit its stand, including Mr. Usman Gur Mohammed, Managing Director of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Power, His Excellency BN Reddy, the Indian High Commissioner. All the Visitors got a chance to view Skipper’s world-class product range including Metering Panel, Distribution Transformer and Package Substation. Skipper showcased its complete product range as well as its latest ongoing and completed power sector projects in TCN, MOP, Federal Government & various Nigerian states through graphics.
Mr. Jitender Sachdeva, hosted a special dinner on 5th September in Spice Route, Lagos. The Dinner was attended by Chairman (Senate Committee on Power), Chairman (House Committee on Power), Chairman (Eko Bank), Chairman (Fidelity Bank), Chairman (Eko Distribution Company), MD (Siemens Nigeria Ltd) many other dignitaries, exhibitors of Power Nigeria and Skipper team. It was a perfect opportunity for guests to network and forge new business relationships. In his welcome address, the Group President spoke about Nigeria and its high demand for power and Infrastructure development. He highlighted the increasing importance of bringing manufacturing excellence to Nigeria.

Benson Abounu.
Skipper participated in Africa’s leading Exhibition for the Power Industry, Power Nigeria 2014, held at the Eko Hotel, Lagos from October 28-30 October, 2014.
Skipper is a household name in Nigeria and as the lead exhibitor of the show, the Company showcased its capabilities in Energy Management solutions, Package Substation and energy efficient transformers. The products displayed were state-of-the-art and upgraded through our continuous research and development exercises, with the objective of making them more dependable, energy efficient and environment friendly.

In a parallel session, Mr. Ketan Sehgal – VP Marketing, GTA Engineering Ltd., Nigeria, presented a technical seminar on “Efficiency Improvement Options for the Nigerian Distribution System” on October 28.

Skipper sponsored an interactive meeting with Hon. Dr Olusegun Aganga, Minister for Industry, Trade & Investment, Federal Republic of Nigeria, organized by The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The event took place on 11th September 2014 in New Delhi and saw participation from leading business houses and investors with deep interest in Nigeria’s attractive business environment.
The Skipper delegation consisted of senior management from Indian and Nigerian subsidiaries. Ms. Poonam Sachdeva, Group Director Corporate, addressed the gathering and shared her valuable experience and insights as an Indian Investor in Nigeria and about Skipper’s growth as a formidable player in the Nigerian Power Sector. Skipper successfully participated in the world’s largest and most well-known industrial fair, Hannover Messe, on 7-11 April this year at Hall 13, Stand D49.
This was the first time that Skipper joined as an exhibitor and showcased its products and services in this international arena. On the first day itself, Skipper received excellent response and inquiries from numerous visitors. Visitors were deeply impressed with Skipper’s global presence and its full range of best-in-class power products and services at competitive prices.
Skipper Electricals participated in the Middle East Electricity Exhibition 2014 (Sheikh Saeed Halls, Stand S1H49) which took place from 11th to 13th February at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Skipper’s presence this year featured a grand stand displaying the Company’s prowess in world class power products including Skipper Distribution Transformer, 145 kV Mobile Substation and Metering Panels.
